Masterson’s Pub , positioned in the vibrant core of Moonee Ponds, brands itself as a fashionable, contemporary hangout, but my most recent experience at this establishment quickly devolved into an unforgettable, terrible experience. While the bar may seem appealing from the exterior , what I encountered behind its walls was disturbing and far below any standard .
The State of Affairs: Squalid and Disregarded
From the moment I entered , it was evident that cleanliness was not a priority at this bar . The floorboards were filthy, and a foul smell of decaying beverages and neglected washrooms suffused the entire pub. Emitting a scent of a mixture of ammonia , putrefaction and sickness . The counter , which should be the centerpiece of any pub, was cluttered with dirty glasses and debris that looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in weeks . The lavatory was in even worse condition — spilling over , with a shattered handle and walls stained in what I can only assume was fecal matter .

As I looked into it more , I was stunned to find numerous complaints against him involving sexual harassment , with multiple women accusing him of distributing inappropriate mastersons bar review messages .
